Easter 5K
About
Mt. Vernon Christian Church was founded in 1842 and remains the second oldest Christian Church in Georgia. The official church building has been modified and reconstructed five times since the formation of the church. The present building was constructed in 1941.
This race is held in memory of Frank Baccus, a life-long member of Mt. Vernon with over 80 years of servitude. We dedicate this race to his service, sacrifice and dedication to the church and community.
This year marks the 16th running of the Frank Baccus Easter 5K as an annual event held on the Saturday before Easter. This year being April 8th, 2023.
